Stephanie S. Hockman

Stephanie Hockman is the founder of Alvista Loop Consulting, LLC. She is a former senior banking executive, educator, and board director with over 22 years of global experience driving strategic planning, organizational management and development, profitability improvement, and regulatory governance for global alternative investment and financial service organizations. She is solutions-oriented and adept at establishing development programs for leading educational institutions, investment banks, professional service organizations, and small businesses. Ms. Hockman has a broad-based expertise with a focus on the financial services industry and people development that includes strategic planning, P&L management, people development and leadership, process optimization, contract negotiations, hedge fund operations, business valuation, and entity structure enhancement. She is a concept-to-execution driver with a record of success in determining needs; addressing complex issues, realigning decisions; and developing value-maximizing business solutions.
Ms. Hockman is the inaugural Program Director for the Careers in Business and Finance at Amherst College. She created and implemented the program which coaches, advises, and prepares students for careers in finance and works with alumni and employers to increase internship and full time job opportunities. Through her efforts, over one-third of the student population secures jobs in finance, consulting or general business and employment opportunities increased 28% in the initial year. Prior to joining Amherst College, Ms. Hockman worked at BNP Paribas as a Managing director in Global Equities and Commodity Derivatives (“GECD”) leading teams in New York, London, and Hong Kong. She was an inaugural member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative, was a member of the GECD Executive Committee, founded the Women in Global Markets group, and led the GECD Summer Internship Program. Through her leadership at BNP Paribas, she established the global on-boarding process for prime services and realigned teams to enhance client relationships and improved firm profitability. Prior to BNP Paribas, Ms. Hockman was a Principal at Banc of America Securities where she led the U.S. Prime Services client relationship management team. Through her tenure at Banc of America Securities, she increased client profitability, optimized resource alignment and built a strong team culture of client service that received #1 ratings in industry surveys. She started her career at Arthur Andersen providing tax consulting to hedge funds and investment partnerships and developed a growth strategy for the hedge fund advisory group.
Ms. Hockman earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) at The University of Texas at Austin. She has completed Harvard Business School’s Authentic Leadership Development program and the HBX Leading with Finance course and has her Myers Briggs certification.
